Allan Tait and Darren Budd could still have a future at Eastbourne Borough despite being told they are currently surplus to requirements at Priory Lane.
Tait and Budd are both poised to go out on loan until January after falling down the pecking order following the arrival of Ashley Barnes, Dan Smith and Jeff Goulding.
Budd has not started a league game this season while Tait was transfer listed following a training ground dispute last month.
However, assistant manager Nick Greenwood said: “There has been plenty of interest in Allan and Darren so now it is down to the players deciding what is best for them.
“They need to be playing and we’ll look at the situation again in January. They might enjoy it where they go and want to stay longer or there may be an opportunity here so we’ll have to see what happens.”
Mansfield Town, the side immediately above Borough in the table, host Oxford in tonight’s game.
